I teach on a wide variety of topics throughout second and third year modules. These include learning and cognition (BIO266), human sociality (BIO263), various aspects of human evolution (BIO380) and navigation and spatial memory (BIO394). I am also module leader of a third year module, Advanced Topics in Animal Behaviour (BIO392), which uses an inquiry-based learning approach.

For several years, I helped to run behavioural projects on the third year Project Course in the Pantanal, Brazil with Dr Susannah Thorpe.

As Careers Tutor, I am always keen to help students to develop skills: both subject-specific competences and valuable transferable skills (like the ability to write clearly and logically), in order to improve their employability when they graduate.
